2023 Eclipse Guide
Eclipses bring surprises. Wouldn't you like to be ~in on it~ with the cosmos?
“The price we paid was the price men have always paid for achieving a paradise in this life--we went soft, we lost our edge.”
― Frank Herbert, Dune
2023 is a year of new cycles.
In March, Saturn entered Pisces, and Pluto entered Aquarius. Coming up soon, for the first time in 18 years, the North Node will enter Aries, which is especially significant, because Aries is the first of the 12 signs, the beginning of the astrological calendar.
Aries is a pioneer, a warrior, and a fresh start, with both the energy and naivete necessary to begin a new journey. We’re now well-acquainted with what’s not working, in our personal lives and in society. Aries is willing to risk temporary discomfort to do what’s right.
When the North Node changes signs, it also indicates a new eclipse series. An eclipse series lasts around two years, and alternates between a pair of signs that are opposites. This creates high tension that really, can pull either way.
We are on the cusp of something new.
For the past two years, our eclipses were on the Taurus-Scorpio axis. The final two in this series are the Scorpio lunar eclipse on May 5, then closing out the year, with the Taurus lunar eclipse on Oct. 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, 2023 will give us the first two eclipses on the Aries-Libra axis, kicking things off with the Aries solar eclipse on April 20, followed by the Libra solar eclipse on Oct. 14, 2023.
Eclipses are portals.
Fast-tracked pathways to new places and new timelines.
Astrologers pay special attention to eclipses because they bring the unexpected, significant opportunities or sudden endings, heightened emotions, and big decisions with lasting consequences.
There is nothing to fear. By simply knowing we’re in eclipse season, you can offer yourself more grace. Know that during this time, any strong feelings, dead-ends, or new offers are worth some extra consideration, and are helping illuminate a larger transformation in your life journey.
To know what change is coming your way, we can look at the themes of each axis (Taurus-Scorpio and Aries-Libra). Then, I’ll show you how to make it personal, based on your sun and rising signs.
The Aries North Node is asking us to be brave.
Let’s see what’s in store.
